As an artist and an art educator, I like to use experimentation as a starting point. I create my own fabrics using an exploration of mark making and layering techniques. My process developed as I investigated materials, combining fabric paint, thickened dyes, and resists, with traditional printmaking techniques. Taking photographs of the natural and built environment often serves as the inspiration for my work. I am motivated by art that allows me to view something from a new perspective, and I strive to share that unique perspective with the viewer.
