Horned Dorset Colony Artist Residency

This June I had the opportunity to participate in my first artist in residence program at Horned Dorsett Inn, located in Leonardsville. NY. During my month long stay I was able to focus on my textile work, drawing inspiration from the surrounding landscape and artistic influences in the region. I experimented with a diverse array of materials and techniques, from hand-dyeing and painting fabric to stitiching and quilting.  

My days were divided between my outdoor wet studio and an indoor space for sewing. In the evening the five artists gathered for a meal and shared insights into own their creative process.
